The Inland Tourism Awards is an opportunity for tourism operators of attractions and businesses to gain an insight into their industry, their business, achieve recognition for their success and promote tourism within their region.
Bronze Gumnut Award - Environmental
KDH Management Pty Ltd has implemented the Gumnut awards initiative of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) for both Broken Head Holiday Park and the Dubbo City Holiday Park. The gumnut awards initiative is a progressive rating scheme for parks, the award recognises demonstrated commitment to sustainable environmental and socially responsible management.
Environmentally Friendly Eco-Star initiative
Throughout the Gold Coast based parks, KDH has achieved the Eco-Friendly STAR initiative of AAA tourism. The Eco-Friendly STAR recognises demonstrated commitment to sustainable environmental and socially responsible management based on assessment criteria falling under;
- Energy efficiency
- Waste minimisation and management
- Water minimisation
- Guest Education
KDH Management expects to receive further awards for each of their parks as management contracts continue. This will assist KDH management in achieving organizational goals and objectives as well as improving the image for each park.
